MSU and ATP team up to offer an aviation degree
BECKLEY, W.Va. – August 25, 2010 – Mountain State University and Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) are pleased to announce an academic services agreement signing today at 1:00 pm in the conference room of the Office of the President. The agreement will be signed by MSU Chief Executive Officer and President Charles H. Polk and ATP President Derrick Dennis to reflect a new bachelor’s degree for aviation students, the Bachelor of Science in Airline Transport Professional Pilot Operations, with flight training being completed through ATP.
D-JET in ATP colors displayed at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2010
OSHKOSH, WI – July 26, 2010 – 535,000 people attended this years AirVenture and more than 10,000 aircraft arrived at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh and other airports in east-central Wisconsin.
ATP Hosts American Eagle Airlines’ Hiring Event in July
JACKSONVILLE, FL – July 15, 2010 – American Eagle Airlines will send their top Pilot Recruiters to ATP Headquarters in Jacksonville Beach, Florida on Thursday, July 22 to meet exclusively with an assembly of ATP Instructors, students and graduates.
ATP Opens Chicago and New York Training Centers
JACKSONVILLE, FL – May 10, 2010 – ATP today announced that its two newest flight training centers are now open in Chicago at DuPage Airport (KDPA) and New York at Islip – Long Island Airport (KISP).
American Eagle Hires 14 ATP Grads
ARLINGTON, Texas – April 6, 2010 – Fourteen ATP flight instructors and graduates from ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program receive First Officer position class dates with American Eagle. ATP extends congratulations and thanks to the 14 CFIs who recently interviewed and received job offers with American Eagle, one of the nation’s largest regional airlines.
ATP Attends Fort Worth Alliance Air Show
DALLAS FORT WORTH, Texas – October 28, 2009 – Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) displayed one of its piper seminole multi-engine airplanes at the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show this past weekend. Turn out was tremendous and ATP had flight instructors from its GKY location on hand to answer questions.
ATP Opens First FBO at Daytona Beach International
DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – October 19, 2009 – ATP today announced its entry into the FBO business: ATP Jet Center, a full-service FBO at Daytona Beach International (DAB), is now open. In addition to all the standard FBO amenities, ATP Jet Center provides an internet pricing guarantee at ATPJetCenter.com for full- and self-serve AVGAS and full-service JETA. As a member of the Shell Aviation network, ATP Jet Center accepts AvCard, Multi Service, and Shell fuel cards. Hangar space is available with fuel discounts.
ATP Annouces New York and Los Angeles Training Centers
October 1, 2009 — ATP today announced two new flight training centers to open near New York and Los Angeles.
Camarillo, California (KCMA) – north of Los Angeles – will be ATP’s fourth training center in the SoCal area. Classes are expected to start in November, 2009.
Long Island, New York (KISP) will open in early 2010 and provide convenient access to flight training for pilots from New York City, the Tri-State region, and New England. Classes are expected to start in March, 2010.

ATP Opens Charlotte Flight Training Center
April 27, 2009 — CONCORD, North Carolina — ATP today announced that its Charlotte Flight Training Center opens on May 4 at Concord Regional Airport (KJQF). The new training center will offer single- and multi-engine flight training from Private through ATP, including ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program.
ATP Opens Tampa Flight Training Center
April 20, 2009 — ST. PETERSBURG, Florida — ATP today announced that its Tampa-area Flight Training Center opens on May 4 at St. Petersburg-Clearwater Airport (KPIE) adjacent to the Signature FBO. The new training center will offer single- and multi-engine flight training from Private thru ATP, including ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program.
ATP Rolls Out Traffic Information Service (TIS) with Zaon Flight Systems
April 7, 2009 — JACKSONVILLE, Florida — Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) today announced a large scale rollout of Traffic Information Service (TIS) by providing its entire staff of flight instructors with an MRX Portable Collision Avoidance System by Zaon Flight Systems.
ATP Opens 5 New Training Centers, Lowers Prices
February 2, 2009 —ATP today announced opening 5 new flight training centers and lower prices for flight training and certification programs. New flight training centers are planned for Charlotte, Indianapolis, Oakland, San Diego, and Tampa.
Fuel Prices Drop, ATP Gives Cash Rebate to Students
December 30, 2008 — In an unprecedented move to pass along fuel cost savings, ATP issued cash rebates up to $2,500 to Airline Career Pilot Program students enrolled at mid-2008 pricing and dropped prices for all students starting in 2009. Pilots looking to advance their certification will pay less as flight training prices decline with the cost of fuel.
Diamond Aircraft selects ATP for factory-authorized D-JET Flight Training

Diamond Aircraft Announces First Flight of D-JET with New Williams Engine
October 05, 2008 — Diamond Aircraft flew its D-JET for the first time with the new Williams FJ33-5A engine today. "This is an important milestone for the D-JET program as we will be using this and subsequent aircraft for actual certification flights," said Peter Maurer, President of Diamond Aircraft.
ATP Continues to Accept Deliveries of New Piper Seminole Aircraft
Wilmington, DE — October 02, 2008 — Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) today accepted delivery of a factory-new, multi-engine Piper PA-44 Seminole aircraft. This is the tenth 2008 model Piper Seminole received by ATP this year. Airline Career Pilot Program students fly the multi-engine Seminoles for 140 hours in a nationwide, airline-style training environment. With the addition of this aircraft, ATP's fleet now includes 146 flight training aircraft.
