ATP & Piper Reach Deal for 30 New Airplanes
October 11, 2011 – Piper Aircraft Inc. and Airline Transport Professionals reached agreement today at NBAA for the sale of as many as 30 Piper Seminoles with a total retail value of $18 million. Piper and ATP jointly made the announcement at the 2011 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention.
CNBC — Help Wanted: Pilots
September 20, 2011 – CNBC's Phil LeBeau reports on the current pilot shortage sweeping the industry, as it is predicted that over 450,000 pilots will need to be hired by 2029. The report also states that this hiring boom is not cyclical and will more than likely be immune to the busniess cycle, due large in part to the age 65 retirements.
Construction Update — New Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Facility
September 12, 2011 – The construction of ATP's new hangar at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport is well underway. Slated to open January 2012, the facility has been rapidly taking shape. Interior construction will soon begin, as the fabrication of the exterior walls and roof is currently being completely. At approximately 19,000 sq. feet and situated on 2-1/2 acres of land, this training center is sure to become the premier destination for Airline Career Pilot program and Regional Jet training students on the west coast.
Diamond D-JET Takes Major Step Toward Finishing Certification
September 1, 2011 – Diamond Aircraft has resumed flight testing of its D-JET prototypes, following their temporary grounding after a funding shortfall and significant employee furloughs in March, 2011.
141 ATP Graduates Have Been Hired in the Last 7 months
July 21, 2011 – 141 ATP flight instructors and graduates from ATP Flight School have received pilot positions at leading regional and corporate airlines across the country in the past 7 months. ATP extends congratulations to all its successful graduates and is proud of their accomplishments.
American Eagle Taps into the ATP Flight Training Pipeline with PilotPool.com
June 22, 2011 – American Eagle Airlines recently used ATP’s pilot recruitment tool, PilotPool.com, to reach out to hundreds of pilots to notify them of newly reduced hiring minimums. American Eagle also announced that they will interview pilots who have 500 hours of total flight experience with 50 hours of multi-engine experience. ATP's Regional Jet Standards Certification Program, paid-for by American Eagle.
Phoenix Flight School — New Hangar Construction
June 22, 2011 – ATP is in the works of constructing a new building at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. With two CRJ-200 flight training devices and a fleet of new Piper Seminoles, this location is sure to be a premier destination for Airline Career Pilot program and Regional Jet training students.
ATP Purchases Five New Flight Training Aircraft
June 21, 2011 – ATP recently purchased five aircraft to add to its already impressive training fleet. These additional airplanes—three multi-engine Piper Seminoles and two single-engine Cessna 172s—will help accommodate the current increasing demand for ATP’s Fast Track Airline Career Pilot Program and Mountain State University’s ATP Pilot Operations degree program, for which ATP provides all the flight training.
ATP Opens Nashville and Scottsdale Training Centers
May 9, 2011 – Today ATP announced that its two newest flight training centers are now open in Nashville at Smyrna Airport (KMQY) and in Phoenix at Scottsdale Airport (KSDL). Both locations offer ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program. This advanced flight training program is the best in career pilot training.
ATP Opens New Location at Peachtree Dekalb
January 04, 2011 – ATP today announced the opening of its new Atlanta location at Peachtree Dekalb Airport. This is ATP’s second location serving the greater Atlantic area.
ATP Accepts Last of Six New Seminoles Ordered in November
December 16, 2010 – ATP today accepted delivery of its sixth new Piper Seminole.

Six Piper Seminoles Added to ATP Training Fleet
Long Beach, CA – November 11, 2010 – Piper Aircraft Inc. is selling a fleet of six Piper Seminole multi-engine piston-powered advanced training aircraft to Airline Transport Professionals (ATP), a nationwide firm specializing in airline pilot training and pilot career development. The airplanes will be delivered to ATP in 2010.

"Help wanted: Boeing says airlines need 1 million workers"
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — September 16, 2010 — By Aaron Smith, staff writer Boeing says the airline industry will need to hire more than one million workers over the next 20 years to prepare for a wave of 30,000 new aircraft. The airlines will need to hire 466,650 pilots and 596,500 maintenance crew workers between 2010 and 2029, the aircraft maker said Thursday.

MSU and ATP team up to offer an aviation degree
BECKLEY, W.Va. – August 25, 2010 – Mountain State University and Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) are pleased to announce an academic services agreement signing today at 1:00 pm in the conference room of the Office of the President. The agreement will be signed by MSU Chief Executive Officer and President Charles H. Polk and ATP President Derrick Dennis to reflect a new bachelor’s degree for aviation students, the Bachelor of Science in Airline Transport Professional Pilot Operations, with flight training being completed through ATP.

ATP Opens Chicago and New York Training Centers
JACKSONVILLE, FL – May 10, 2010 – ATP today announced that its two newest flight training centers are now open in Chicago at DuPage Airport (KDPA) and New York at Islip – Long Island Airport (KISP).
American Eagle Hires 14 ATP Grads
ARLINGTON, Texas – April 6, 2010 – Fourteen ATP flight instructors and graduates from ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program receive First Officer position class dates with American Eagle. ATP extends congratulations and thanks to the 14 CFIs who recently interviewed and received job offers with American Eagle, one of the nation’s largest regional airlines.
