Why Choose ATP for your Multi-Engine Rating?
More Experience & More Resources
ATP provides more multi-engine flight training and certification than any other flight school in the nation. Our aircraft fly over 10,000 hours each month, and more than 4,500 FAA certifications and ratings are achieved by ATP customers each year.
With flight training centers located coast-to-coast, and a fleet of 86 multi-engine Piper Seminoles, ATP is in a unique position to complete your flight training on time, at exactly the advertised cost.
Standardized Aircraft
All ATP aircraft feature the exact same avionics suite. All 41 2000-and-later model and 45 refurbished pre-2000 model Piper Seminoles are equipped with an HSI and Garmin GNS-430 moving map GPS.
Standardized Procedures
ATP operates within 12 different Flight Standards District Offices (FSDOs), but we use the exact same operating procedures under all jurisdictions. This attests to the quality of training and standardization that we uphold.
ATP-Approved Examiners
We work with the same Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) day in and day out—they are familiar with our standardized training procedures and checklists. This relationship ensures a low-stress checkride, for which you will be extremely well prepared.

Training & Refund Policy
Flight times are approximate. You will receive flight training from 8.0 to 8.5 hours, giving you approximately 10 hours once you complete the flight check. ATP allocates 1.5 to 2.0 hours for the flight check due to varying flight check times.
ATP’s training is provided as a complete program and not provided as training at an hourly “rate.”
If your program must be discontinued before you complete the flight check, you will be charged $350 per hour of flight training, and the remaining balance will be refunded. You will not be charged for any training materials or ground school you receive.
In the unlikely event that you fail the flight check, you may obtain extra training as a one-hour-block program for $300. This will include flight training from 0.9 to 1.3 hours, ground school, pre- and post-flight briefings, and the use of the aircraft for the re-check (Examiner's fee is separate, and still applies).
ATP makes every effort to successfully complete your flight program within the allocated flight time. We have become the number one multi-engine flight training company by consistently achieving this goal.

Testimonials
“I recently obtained my multi-engine rating at ATP in Sacramento. I was very impressed with the program as I had never set foot in a multi-engine aircraft prior to this class. My instructor was very sharp and knowledgeable on top of having a great personality. We got along very well which assisted in learning and retaining all of the new material that was introduced to me. I look forward to expanding my aviation opportunities with the help of ATP. Thank you!”
