ATP's CFI Program Instructors
ATP's CFI Program is managed and taught by some of the most qualified pilots and instructors in the country. Below is an excerpt from NAFI regarding our Training Manager who also conducts most of the CFI Initial programs in Jacksonville:
The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) takes pride in announcing a significant aviation accomplishment on the part of Walter S Schamel, a training manager for Airline Transport Professionals and a resident of Winter Haven, FL. Recently, Walt's designation as a Master CFI (Certificated Flight Instructor) was renewed by NAFI.
To help put this achievement in its proper perspective, there are approximately 81,000 CFIs in the United States. Fewer than three hundred of them have achieved that distinction thus far. The last seven national Flight Instructors of the Year were Master CFIs while Walt is one of only 38 Florida aviation educators to earn this prestigious “Master” title.
