English Language Skills

Students must be able to read, speak and understand the English language to enroll in ATP's training programs.

If you do not possess an ICAO Pilot License with an “English Proficient” endorsement, or do not presently speak conversational English, you must complete an Aviation English Training course prior to enrollment with ATP.

Courses are available online through Aviation English Training. They will provide an assessment test to determine if you require training, and if so, determine the appropriate skill level course. You must graduate by passing the ICAO Proficiency Exam. Aviation English Training will notify ATP once you graduate from the course.
