Fast Track or Self-Paced
What flight training curriculum is right for me?
ATP offers accelerated Fast Track flight training and flexible Self-Paced flight training in two versions of the same proven Airline Career Pilot Program curriculum. If you prefer to segment your training into smaller courses, ATP offers the Optional Certification Track to achieve the same level of Commercial Pilot training with even more flexibility with a moderate increase in total cost.
When you evaluate your flight training options, consider these factors:
-
Starting Cost
The Optional Certification Track allows you to begin your training and reach pre-defined certification milestones without having to acquire financing for all of your training up front. The Fast Track Airline Career Pilot Program requires financing to be secured prior to beginning training so payments can be made as you progress through the program. ATP never requires or recommends paying for an entire career flight training program in advance!
-
Schedule flexibility
The Self-Paced Airline Career Pilot Program and the Optional Certification Track enable maximum schedule flexibility, allowing you to pursue career pilot training while maintaining your family, school, work, or financial commitments. The Fast-Track ACPP is best for students that can make a full time, seven-days-a-week commitment.
-
Proven Curriculum
Both the Airline Career Pilot Program and Optional Certification Track use the same proven curriculum taught by ATP's professional flight instructors. The Optional Certification Track divides the ATP Airline Career Pilot Program into 4 distinct programs, allowing for maximum schedule flexibility and finance options.
-
Access to ATP's Airline Relationships
Students graduating from the Airline Career Pilot Program and Optional Certification Track have access to ATP’s pilot network and airline hiring relationships.
-
Credit for Previous Flight Experience
If you've already started training towards a certificate or rating or you're transitioning from another flight school, ATP can create a custom program to enable you to finish up the certificate or rating you are working on and complete your career training beginning at the next logical Optional Certification Track stage. This option will save you time and money and ensure you receive maximum credit for work you’ve already done!
-
Total Cost
The most cost effective way to complete your career pilot training is with the Airline Career Pilot Program. The efficiency, schedule, and continuity of accomplishing all your training in one package allows you to take advantage of ATP's economies of scale for the lowest cost flight training option.
-
Focus
Most would agree the easiest way to maintain complete focus on pilot training is to remove all distractions and dedicate 100% of time and energy toward achieving your training objectives. The Airline Career Pilot Program is a focused, intense training program that leaves little time for anything else. If you can dedicate a full-time effort to your aviation training, the Fast Track program is for you. If this sounds impractical or impossible given your situation, the Self-Paced Airline Career Pilot Program is for you.
-
Completion Time
With ATP’s ACP Program, you’ll have the pilot certificates and ratings you’ll need to start a professional pilot career in just 90 days (150 days if you need your Private). If you can’t dedicate a full time effort due to other personal commitments, the Self-Paced Airline Career Pilot Program will enable you to complete your professional pilot credentials including CFI certificates in about 10 months (14 months if you need your Private).
-
Training Continuity
Whether you choose Fast Track, Self-Paced, or the Optional Certification Track, ATP maximizes training continuity by providing structured, efficient curriculum developed with the benefit of over 25 years of training professional pilots. ATP training programs and flow seamlessly to save you time and money!
