Detailed SLM Application Instructions
The detailed instructions below will guide you through SLM’s on-line application. We have provided screen shots of the application so you know what to expect when you get there.
Remember, by completing the application you are under no obligation to accept a loan. Before beginning the application, verify that you have obtained the required information for both you and your co-borrower.

Loan Terms

Click the I ACCEPT button to proceed.
1: Eligibility

- Enrollment Period
- Enter a Begin Date at least 30 days in the future and an End Date 6 months after that. These dates will be changed later when you decide to schedule your training program. Remember, you are under no obligation to train with ATP by completing this application.
Click the NEXT button to proceed.
Ensure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader software to complete the application. Click the NEXT button to proceed.

2: Credit

- Total Loan Amount Requested
These amounts include designated pilot examiners' fees, which are not included in ATP's program cost but still count towards tuition. Do not enter commas or symbols.If you plan to enroll in the... Enter this amount... Airline Career Pilot Program 63495 Airline Career Pilot Program

- Enter the exact same value as the Total Loan Amount Requested.
- Additional Expenses
- Enter exactly 0.
- Repayment Term Requested
- Enter 20. (Recommended.)
- Repayment option
- Options are "Interest Only" and "$10 Deferred Payment." Months to repay can be from 0-18.
- Anticipated Graduation Date
- Enter the same "End Date" you entered in step 1 above. When you later choose to reserve a class date, ATP will update this information with SLM.
- Disbursement Information
- Divide the Loan Amount Requested into 4 disbursements. For Disbursement 1, enter your "Enrollment Period Begin Date" from step one. For disbursements 2 thru 4, add one month between disbursements. When you later choose to reserve a class date, ATP will update this information with SLM.
Click the Submit Credit > button to proceed.
2: Credit Results

The "Read Credit Results" page will usually show "Pending Review."
If you have your co-borrower's information available, click Add a Cosigner.
Otherwise, click Continue Application.
3: Application

- Loan Information / Enrollment Status
- Select Freshman. A corporate code is not needed, leave it blank.
- References
- Enter the contact information for two personal references. These people will NOT be contact about your loan. These are simply relatives or friends, other than your co-borrower, who you remain in contact with. No financial information witll be shared with them or requested of them.
Click Submit Application.
4: Sign Your Application

Review the information and write down you account number. Click Finish.
Approval Process
Approval decisions are usually made within 24-48 hours. SLM provide your approval status to ATP, and an ATP representative will contact you immediately.
